Analyst · the owner's numbers

Which customers lost margin last quarter?

Upload the export your TMS already makes. Ask the question in English. Get a number you can defend: fixed definitions, the loads behind it, and what changed since last week — in an email every Monday, before anyone has to ask.

How it works

An export in, an answer out, a report every Monday.

01

Upload the export

The one-row-per-load report your TMS already produces — AscendTMS, Tai, Aljex, McLeod, or any CSV. We read the headers, propose the mapping, show you what it yields, and remember the layout. Next week is a drag and drop. Connect QuickBooks and the paid dates come from the books.

02

Ask in English

"Which customers had the lowest margin last quarter, at least five loads?" The question becomes a query over a fixed catalog of metrics — the model never does arithmetic — and the answer comes back with its definitions, its data date, and a button that shows the loads behind every number.

03

Turn an answer into a report

Save it, schedule it, share it. The Monday email waits for the week's export before it goes out, and opens with what was restated since last issue. A customer QBR page shows the shipper only their loads and never your margin.

What it answers

The questions an owner asks on Monday, and the ones they should.

A fixed catalog of freight metrics — by customer, carrier, lane, rep, equipment and month — with the comparison to last period or last year on request.

  • Gross margin by customer, lane, rep, monthwith booked and settled cost side by side
  • Detention leakpaid to carriers, billed to customers, the capture rate
  • Days to pay and receivables over 45 daysby customer, slowest first
  • On-time pickup and deliveryby carrier and lane, with the tolerance you set
  • Loads whose cost is still not finalso last month's margin is read for what it is
  • What changed since last weekevery restated value, by load, with the old and the new

Why the numbers hold

Built so a bookkeeper would sign it.

An analyst is only useful if the owner trusts the number enough to act on it. Four rules the code enforces:

Definitions are fixed, and printed

Revenue, gross profit, cost state, on-time: one formula each, shown under every answer and every report. Two people asking the same question get the same number.

The model never computes

It translates your question into a query and may polish a sentence. Every figure in its prose must exist in the engine's result, or the template ships instead.

Restatements, not surprises

Every export is a snapshot. When a carrier bill lands and last month's margin moves, the change is logged by load and explained at the top of the next issue.

Ties out to the books

Revenue, carrier cost and gross profit by month next to what QuickBooks — or your bookkeeper — says, with the difference and a place to explain it.

FAQ

What owners and bookkeepers ask first.

What is LogiPilot Analyst?

An analyst for US truckload brokerages. It reads the load export your TMS already produces into a fixed freight data model, answers questions asked in English with numbers that carry their definitions and the loads behind them, and turns answers into scheduled reports for the owner and QBR pages for shippers.

Which TMS does it work with?

Any one-row-per-load export — CSV or Excel. AscendTMS is supported out of the box; other layouts go through a mapping wizard that proposes the mapping from your headers, shows the result before anything is imported, and remembers the layout for next time. Live connectors come per TMS as customers need them.

Do I need QuickBooks?

No. Without it, invoice and payment dates come from the TMS export when it has them, and the tie-out is typed in by your bookkeeper. Connect QuickBooks Online and the books become the source of truth for what was paid and when, and the tie-out fills itself from the P&L.

Can I trust the numbers?

That is the point of the product. Definitions are fixed and shown; the language model never does arithmetic; every answer links to the loads behind it; every export is kept as a snapshot so changes are restated, not silently overwritten; and the monthly totals tie out to the books.

What does it cost?

One plan: $199 a month per company with 5 seats, every feature. Start with a 14-day trial — no card — and load a sample brokerage to look around before you upload anything of your own. When the trial ends your data stays readable; subscribing turns uploads and reports back on.

Who sees what?

Admins, builders and viewers. A sales rep can be scoped to their own book — every query they run is restricted to it, and they cannot widen it. A shared customer page is locked to one customer and refuses any internal figure such as margin or carrier cost.

Where does our data live?

In a US cloud region, encrypted in transit and at rest. Export everything as CSV at any time; request deletion and we delete all of it and confirm in writing within 7 days. Your data is never used to train models shared with other customers.
